Paul, Rob, Jo, Jackie and your families; Ian and I would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to you.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to know Chris well from across the pond but the few times we did meet I truly enjoyed spending time with her. One silver lining of Covid is that I could attend the service this morning in real time. It was a really lovely service with very genuine and touching tributes. It was obvious that she was very loved and will be deeply missed. It was wonderful to see you all, even if only virtually. I am sending you all a huge virtual hug.

Chris., who knows when love begins
Who knows what makes it start
One day it's simply here
Alive Inside our hearts

Love Gives us Pleasure
And Love can give us Pain
And yet when both are gone
Love Will Still remain

Love Never Dies

Chris will be sorely missed. She will always be remembered for her caring nature and her habit of offering up the best biscuits and cuppa tea with the best company to have a chin wag with. The world may have lost an amazing lady, but the heavens have gained a star.

I met Chris over 12 years ago she had been the county administrator before i took on the role, Chris was always helpful, kind and so knowledgeable in Scouting way more than I. Her support with all the events and my endless questions was wonderful.

You will be so missed by so many and more than words can express by Paul and your family, I will miss you too Chris.

We were very sorry to hear of Chris’ passing. As a member of West Sussex Scouts for nearly fifty years, Chris was a respected and valued Beaver and Cub Scout Leader, a Trainer, member of SASU and also formerly a County Administrator. Her dedication and support of Scouting earned her the award of the Silver Acorn and through her enthusiasm very many young people have been able to enjoy the benefits of fun, friendship and personal development through Scouting.

We will all miss her enormously and send our sincere sympathy to her husband Paul,
her three children and all her family.
