The best of bosses (BACS) and a very good friend. Great company and always a laugh. Also happened to be the best footballer I ever played with.
Not so much - golf ! Although better than me.
Gone too soon, a legend.
My sincere condolences to Viv, Anthony, Russell and the lovely family.

The Allstars Walking Football Family

Dave Cook, Allstar Original - Role Model Walker – Fashion Icon – Spurs Fan and all round jolly nice bloke.

A Master Stroller - Dave was a regular member in the early days at The Arena and was known for his love of football and fun. Early Allstars will remember Dave being the role model walking footballer – not so much for his football but for his walking. His leisurely walks up the wing were legendary – a man for who the word ‘stride’ was a step to far.

And of course those shorts – Dave had the longest shorts – more Bahamas than Bermudas. Even on the coldest day his knees were never cold. They became his trademark – that and his love of fun, football and of course – Spurs. You will be missed.

I have many fond memories of Dave dating back to my early years and beyond. Football played a big part with memories of Southgate County and then Spurs chats later on, as well as Dave coming to watch me play on many occasions. Our Boxing Day trips over to Hemel were always something to look forward to at Xmas and bring back great memories.

Love to all the Cook family x

Dad I cant believe you have gone. You were the cleverest and funniest man I know. I will miss our great chats about football trivia and our belly laughs but most of all I will miss the simple things like picking the phone up just to say hi! You have been a fantastic dad to me and Russ and have always been there to guide us through the trials and tribulations of life. You have also been a wonderful grandad to Harrison, Jenson, Cameron and Josh and they miss their Grandad Dave immensely. Rest in piece Dad. We will always love you xxxx

We first met Dave, Viv and the Boys when we moved next door to them in Hemel 1978. Dave and Bob hit it off straight away with their mutual love of Spurs for whom Dave played at youth level. When Dave told Bob over the garden fence that Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa were joining Spurs Bob didn't believe him. The rest is history. Dave was an excellent footballer and was respected by everyone he came into contact with. Dave and Bob had many good times together through their love of football and golf. Dave has been a good friend to our family over the years and he will be sadly missed by family and friends alike. Rest In Peace Dave. Lots of Love Bob. Jemma &Family

Rest in piece Dave you will sorely missed
You looked after and supported me when we first met after I joined BACS as a nineteen year old back in 1979
You was always there for me supporting me and enabling me to grow, even if I was the most rebellious of staff you probably ever managed
