To the best Mum anyone could wish for,
I will always miss your smile, kindness, hugs, strength and zest for life. I'll even miss the cards and notelets you loved to send and your unique handwriting! According to one of your teachers you would have been able to write the Lord's Prayer on a postage stamp!
Your love of parties and family get-togethers is legendary, providing food and drink in abundance and making sure everyone enjoyed themselves. The perfect hostess!
You practised what you preached and made the most of every single day. You loved travelling and thrived on looking after everyone, always so generous in every way.
Thank you for always being there for me Mum - I don't know what I'd have done without you. I love you so much and will miss you always.

I didn't know Doreen that well. But what I did know, she loved her family, she loved life, and she loved her friends.
I also know she was a person that lived her religion, not preached it. A very good Christian person. Someone we could all learn from.
