I first met Liz at her dress making classes a few years ago.
I was awarded the accolade of being the worst dressmaker she had ever met, but that didn’t stop us becoming good friends.
Liz was funny, compassionate, interesting and always made time for everyone.
Lunch at Joanna’s will never be the same.
Rest in peace.

Liz - a truly wonderful friend! She has been my football buddy at the Amex for the past 8 years, and my family and I have really valued her friendship. We’ve had such fun together, both at the football and at other social events. Although Liz will be dreadfully missed by me and my family, we feel so lucky to have known her, and her warmth, kindness and smile will always stay in our hearts. Our love goes with you dear Liz.

I only knew Liz a short while when I moved here 3 years ago. She made me laugh and I often used to pop into her shop just to have a giggle. I made friends when attending her sewing course - most of which was spent laughing and talking. She was thoughtful, compassionate and kind and I feel really sad that she died so soon, without being able to fully retire. God bless you Liz!

Liz was a gardener when I first met her she worked hard especially the day she had to move a ton of manure. Always smiling plenty of laughs and tea breaks of course. So surprised to find she’d opened the best shop Storrington ever had. Loved going in and spending far more than I expected. I enjoyed my moments with Liz and I shall miss her and her smiling face. I will always remember her positive attitude Rest in peace Liz the village has lost a star

Elizabeth had a passion for sewing. It’s a sad time and I was only a customer . My thoughts are with all her family and customers. You have left a legacy for others to enjoy

Thinking of you and your family. I didn’t know Liz personally but followed her sewing page and the journey she so bravely shared. It provided me with strength for coping with the journey me and my family are about to endure. My thoughts are with you and I have made a donation to St Wilfred’s - what a worthy cause. May you all find strength xxx

We will miss you. My children and I often think of our walks to school with fondness as we walk past your old house. Bessie jumping at the gate and my children saying hi to you all.
You bought many smiles to us.
Rest well xx
