Guerlain, although we lost contact the memories we had together when we were younger were always filled with so much fun and laughter, I look back now and they still make me laugh. Guerlain. That name conjours up a thousand wonderful memories and feelings. What an extraordinary , funny, caring young woman who had the gift of making you feel as if you were the one person she wanted to see that day. Hardworking, selfless, so caring and warm. Hilariously funny, especially the conversations between her and Tilly. We shared times on the beach, times on walks, times around a meal table and all of them so much more wonderful for the presence of the beautiful person that was Guerlain.
Life will not be the same without you.

It was with utter disbelief that we all learned of Guerlains sudden passing.
She was, genuinely, such a beautiful soul surely on the cusp of what I know would have been a hugely fulfilling life in which she would, I have no doubt, have done great things and touched so many more people very deeply. Indeed, in the cruelly short time she was with us, she has already touched so many of us. Her bright energy, warmth and kindness lit the room and indeed it did on so many occasions where we saw her with Tilly at The Smelt family home where she was deeply loved and held, quite rightly, in such high regard and esteem.
Indeed, my own 18 year old daughter said when we last saw her at ‘Smeltfest’ in September, how extraordinary Guerlain was, and that in itself I think sums up how special she was.
Guerlain was utterly guileless and so selfless, kind, caring, warm and just lovely. Certainly she was an Old Soul and gone from us far, far too soon.
Our deepest sympathies to Guerlains family who’s loss is unimaginable. Our hearts go out to you all.

All of our family have been shocked and devasted by the news. We knew Guerlain only for a short while before she left school for college. She made a huge impression on us all. Fun loving, sweet, kind, with a wisdom and maturity for her years; her natural beauty and spirit warmed us all. We also knew that she was hard working and determined, sharing in a sense of pride for her when we heard that she had got into Kings. She will always be remembered, with very much love. A light has gone out.
You burst into our lives like a glorious ray of sunshine after meeting Tilly in year 7 at school. Since then you were a firm fixture in our lives, part of the family and a special friend to Tilly. Without fail, anyone who met you, loved you. You were warm, caring, hardworking and utterly selfless. And you were so funny; our enduring memory will be of the laughter which always filled the house when you and Tilly were larking about, or sharing a joke.
It was a joy watching you grow into a beautiful young woman on the cusp of her exciting adult life. We were so proud when you went off to university to immerse yourself in study and life in London, which you loved. Naturally, you made lots of friends and touched many more lives with your warmth and fun.
Our love and deepest sympathy go to your wonderful family for their loss is unimaginable.
Guerlain, we love and miss you so much. You will be always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.

Guerlain has been the most wonderful and caring friend to me since the day we met. Our bus journeys never failed to make me laugh and her kind-heartedness will surely be missed. We are all so proud of what you achieved. Keep smiling up there Guerlain, you're missed by so many.

Fond memories at our primary school.

Guerlain was the kind of person that was always immediately present and keenly interested in asking about you. She was always had a smile to share and was always up for fun. At such a young age, Guerlain was an old soul. We got to know her at her second home - the Smelts in Walberton. Everytime we came to visit from Canada, Guerlain was always there with Tilly. The two of them always had great fun together and were amazing friends! We had the pleasure of celebrating Ricko's 60th birthday with Guerlain's in Punta Cana. Such amazing memories were created! We were so thrilled that she worked hard to start her uni career. Well done you!
We hope that her lasting legacy is to inspire others to be so present, so kind, so full of fun! She will be so missed. It is with unbelievable sadness we write this. RIP dear Guerlain.
