You may not be with us today but I can definitely feel you with us. Even though I can't see you, I see the impact you have left behind in those that love you so much.

You are truly missed, but I take comfort from the thought that it won't be forever.

Hay, I am writing this in the evening of the day of your farewell as I feel I need to in order to process what has happened. That has been the hardest part of all, trying to understand why? No matter how I look at it, it just doesn't make sense and I know it never will. We shouldn't be doing this and you should still be here. It has felt so surreal, like a bad dream you want to wake from but can't.

I was trying to be strong for everyone but today it hit me like a tonne of bricks. I lost you too. And it hurt so much to know that my wonderful sister in law was not going to be around to share so many more memories. Someone that I have grown to love and admire. From your amazing strength in which you dealt with whatever life threw your way, and the dignity and grace in which you got yourself through some tough times, to your amazing sense of humour and kind, loving nature.

I told Kerry that I believe that some people are too good for this world and that's why we lose them and I saw today as I have done since we met how much of an impact you have had on so many people and myself included.

Thank you Hay for being you. You will be missed so much and never forgotten but we'll all see each other again one day and when that day comes I'll look forward to hearing 'Hi Chrissy' once again. Love ya Hay ❤
