Jean Ellen Brown

Jean Ellen Brown

08.07.1943 - 15.01.2019

Jean was born in Lambeth (Southwark) on Thursday 8 July 1943. Jean met Douglas at a young age and they married on 7 September 1963 and celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last year.
Jean and Doug have four children, Stephen, Paul, Jackie and Julie along with eight grandchildren – Daniel, Victoria, Taylor, Sheridan, Maddison, Tom, Ben and Spencer. Jean was also thrilled to have two great-grandchildren – Theo and Lily-Rae. Jean’s life revolved around her family and she loved nothing better than big family get-togethers.
Jean and her sunny personality will be hugely missed by everyone. She was a real character and so very popular. Our hearts are broken but full of wonderful family memories made with her.
Any donations may be made to the British Heart Foundation or Dementia UK.

Mama, I miss you so much. You were loving, kind, generous, funny, beautiful and always there for us. You had a huge heart and looked after us right until the end. The perfect Mum. You will forever be in my heart. Love always and fly high with the angels. From your baby Boo Boo xx

Nan, there's one word that describes what your main focus in life was. Family.

There's nothing you loved more than making sure everyone was happy (and Full!).

You were so kind and caring yet truefull and trustworthy. I knew that I would get an honest opinion from you and that you never meant anything in a bad way.

I will never forget our last chat, I will picture you there at mine and Jemma's wedding with all the family.

I am proud to say you was my Nan and I will miss you greatly.

I met Jean when I was 16 as I started dating her son Stephen. She eventually became my Mother-in-law and has always been so kind and welcoming to me during this time and even after our marriage ended. I am so pleased my Dad got to see her last year for a catch up before he himself passed away in the summer.
She has been a wonderful Nan and the children loved visiting as they got unlimited goodies which was such a treat!
Jean was such a special lady loved by all and she really will be missed. Lots of love to all the family at this really difficult and sad time xx
