Jennifer Elizabeth Brown 'Jenny'

Jennifer Elizabeth Brown 'Jenny'

29.03.1947 - 11.04.2023

Our ‘lovely lady’, Jenny was a much loved wife, Mum and loyal friend to so many. She inspired us every day with her courage, tenacity and can-do community spirit, setting an example to us all. This special lady will leave an enormous void in our hearts, but we take comfort that we are all so much stronger for being a part of hers.

Following a cremation on Wed 19 April, a Celebration of Jenny’s Life, will take place on Wed 10 May at one of her favourite places, the Alexandra Theatre.

We are grateful for everyone’s support and loving tributes to Jenny and these are more than enough. However, should you wish to donate to one of the many good causes Jenny fundraised for, please click below.

Jenny (aka pest) what can we say, the most amazing ,wonderful, most kindest and generous lady. You made a difference to so many people lives.
Your friendship you gave mum and support over the years was just over and beyond.
It was great pleasure to have known you throughout our lives, and I'm just so pleased you got to meet emily.
Your strength and determination over the last year was incredible.
Mum and myself Will miss you hugely but will always be thinking of you and that wonderful smile.

I have always held the fondest of affection for the time I spent with you as a child and admiration for the lifelong committed role you have played as a pillar of our local community.

From the countless summer days spent playing in your garden with Sarah & Emma, building dens with the contents of the shed; to cold winter evenings making paper chains for Christmas.
Thank you for the many times you looked after us when mum was not well enough to, for always remembering birthdays and anniversary and for the creative ways you always wrapped presents to disguise their contents and for the affectionate way you called me “A Prune” whenever I did something silly.
You have touched the lives of so many people, including multiple generations of children with your selfless commitment to the local community; It always bought a smile to my face whenever I saw you.

To me you have and forever will be known to me as my Auntie Jenny xxx

It has been a privilege to find a friend so caring as you. We have worked and socialised for such a long time with so many laughs and good times along the way. Rosemary Sandy you and me called ourselves “lovely ladies” on our what’s app group that we started during Covid. The closeness we gained during this time will stay with me forever. There is a big void in my life now but all the wonderful memories will live on. Sleep tight xx

Your bravery over the last year was amazing and you were still thinking of others throughout that time. You meant so much to so many people with your kindness and understanding.
