Dad - we will all miss you so much. Although gone you aren’t forgotten and will always live on in our precious memories of you and all the things you held so dearly - family, friends, love, serenity, compassion, wisdom, good good, fine wine, walking, the beach.

We will not stand at your graveside and weep
You are not there, you do not sleep
You are a thousand winds that blow
You are the diamond glints on snow
You are the sunlight on ripened grain
You are the gentle autumn rain
When we wake in the morning hush
You are the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
You are the soft stars that shine at night
We will not stand at your grave and cry
You are here. You did not die

We will always love you dad xxx

The service was a great reflection of John's life. Although we couldn't attend in person, the live transmission was so apt. We will miss you John, RIP.

Sorry to hear about John, he was my mum’s cousin (Joyce Norman(Honeyball). Probably not seen him in over 30 years, at my grandmother’s (Olive, his sister) funeral. The one memory I have of him is, when I was a small child, him showing us slides of a trip to Africa, although I can’t remember the context. Rest in peace.
