We said goodbye today to our lovely Mum, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister.
What a beautiful afternoon we had. Such a lovely service, four family tributes read , Mum’s choice of music plus the Dubliners and the best Irish commendation words from Father Paul. Go dance Kathleen and be free. We love you forever

You can shed tears that she has gone,
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can remember her and only that she is gone,
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,be empty and turn your back.
Or you could do what mum would have wanted:
SMILE, OPEN YOUR EYES, LOVE AND GO ON.

To the moon and back
Love you my mammy
From your baby xxx

We need some new words to describe the magic of you Nanny because I just don't have them. You bought wonder to everything you did and it has been one of the greatest privilege's of my life to be your Granddaughter and be wrapped in your love. I will miss you every day and love you every moment and tell your stories to make the next generation as brave, kind and quietly magnificent as you. Sweet dreams my lovely Nanny. xxxxxx

The great Nanny Kath,
Where to begin with memories of you...from Bognor adventures with the Holland Girls & your London visits! THAT cinema trip, writing on walls, pick n mix, the best ham & mustard sandwiches, breakfasts, cuppas & ALL the dinners, hair extensions, the original photoshop, JLS dolls, MENKY!! And always encouraging me and your granddaughters to behave badly and kiss boys! We will miss you and your naughtiness but know you shall be up there with your lovely Reg and Georgie the dog! Always in my thoughts, Michaela or should I say AHHH MICHELLE! xxxx

My little Nanny.
We have missed you everyday for the last 3 years and that will only increase now.
I will forever be sad that my Jonny and you didn’t get to share sausages and cuddles together but I know now you will always be looking over us watching him grow.
Shopping trolleys and Neapolitan Ice Cream will never be the same.
I promise to always serve tea in a mug on a saucer where possible.
All my love always,
Your little Annie xXx

Ah Kathleen what can I say......
You took me in as one of your own and had the biscuit tin ready and an extra sausage in the breakfast or some puddings ready for my sweet tooth.

I always loved coming to stay with you & Reg in Bognor and miss listening to your stories of growing up in Dún Laoghaire.

Sleep well and keep an eye on us all down here from above!
