Marie sadly passed away on Friday 22nd January 2021 aged 88 years.  Beloved wife of the late Jock, much loved mum of Mairi, Paul, Mark, Peter and Catriona.  Loving ‘Nanny Campbell’ and great grandma. Greatly missed by all her family and friends.

I first met Marie in the late eighties when I used to go to the flat to book acts for the windsurfing events. Having spent more time with her recently, I became more and more fond of her (How could you not) and particularly enjoyed chatting to her at family gatherings.
It’s an extremely sad time and I offer my sincere condolences to the Campbell family.

To dear Marie, I will always remember my first sleep-over at Blondell Drive and getting breakfast in bed! Thank you for always making me feel so welcome and for your endless patience waiting for Tina and I to finish our antics at the end of the school day - you never seemed to mind. Wonderful memories from our teenage years.
Rest in peace and sleep tight.
With all my love Sarah xxx

Nanny Campbell, the kindest lady, bright, witty and sadly missed. I am so grateful to have been welcomed into her family from the very first day. Always there for us and our boys, always pleased to see us. Never complained, and had such a great sense of humour! I will miss the crazy Christmas dinners, and the bucket hat BBQs. Sleep tight Nanny C, I promise I will look after Tweeny x

Some of my fondest childhood memories were spent with Nanny Campbell. She would let me ransack the office, go through old photographs and play her records and CDs on the stereo. Nanny was always happy to have the grandchildren over for sleepovers and never complained about us being too loud or getting up to mischief.

Sleep tight...lots of love Katie, Stuart, Maisie, Matilda & Martha xx

My Mum, Ruth's Mother-in-Law, Mattie's Nanny Campbell, always there for us all, always with a smile and a laugh, even if it was just at herself. Someone I always walked alongside if and when I could keep up with her. I know she will still be walking by my side forever. Will keep my hand out for you Mum.

Our Nanny Campbell...
She always let us run riot round her house, make perfume from the flowers in her garden, watch our endless shows and never ever get cross with us. She had the most beautiful smile and the kindest heart.
We will all miss her... All our love Luisa, Lewis, Jesse, Jody & Ralphie xxxxx

I was so very lucky to have you as my wonderful Mum and best friend. Life will never be the same without you in it but I have lots of amazing, happy memories - all filled with laughter. It’s some of the simple things I’ll miss the most like Turners Pie lunches, walks to the seafront, sitting on our bench to enjoy a cup of tea and just being able to chat with you. I am missing you terribly but you are forever in my heart. Love you lots Mum xxx
