I feel very blessed to have known Melanie. She was such a special lady who was sadly taken from us all far too soon. Melanie was so caring, compassionate and thoughtful, always living life to the full and with great enthusiasm and optimism. I have many magical memories of her that I will treasure. I send my love and thoughts to David and family.

I got to know Melanie when she was a carer for my Dad. She went to his funeral. We photographed the natural world that we both love on a couple of occasions before her illness intervened. Sad to see her go, but am left with happy positive thoughts and the memory of the many friends who turned out for her funeral.

Melanie was the most beautiful Earth Angel, gifting so many with her generosity of spirit, her kindness, empathy, enthusiasm and humour. It was my privilege and my joy to guide Melanie through some of her spiritual training. Always a wonderful member of any group her essence lives on within those of us she touched. She now flies with the Angels and I am feeling so very blessed to have been a small part of her life, as she is a huge part of mine.

I thought I should share this picture of Melanie in her beloved nursing uniform which she was so proud to wear to events with her Nan's original badge and belt. She was the most amazing woman and a wonderful loving wife to me. I shall always treasure the times we shared together; the trips away but also the small things like playing Tetris, cycling, walking around-the-block and motorcycling around.
I never believed I would find myself without her by my side but feel so honoured she chose me to be her husband and gave me so much, making be a better person and able to appreciate more things in life.
I am sure she is now around us with the birds and animals she loved so much and will guide us along as we find our way through life.

Your Loving Husband, David

Both my husband and I knew Melanie through different paths my husband Frank knew Melanie when he did the speed watch with her and other members of the speed watch team and always talked about her as being one of the most enthusiastic people
I met Melanie later when she joined Horndean Camera Club where she was a lively member and a good photographer.
Our memories differ but we both enjoyed her friendship and she will always be a good part of our lives.

Melanie was such a bubbly and joyous person. She was a lovely lady with a child like curiosity for life.
I will always remember her for her fairy garden, her wildlife and celestial photography.
We did Reiki healing and herbal courses together. Despite her illness, she was incredibly upbeat. Sadly she lost the fight to cancer, though she fought hard, she was too young. She will stay in our hearts the beautiful radiant Earth Angel. Forever young and beautiful inside and out.
Mel was such a sweetie, always looking on the bright side.
I'm sure she's transformed into a star, shining down on us.
Sending my love
Rachel
