Alan William Cleall

Alan was born to Gilbert and Florence Cleall in July 1928. Following his time at School in Southgate North London, Alan did his national service with the RAF and was based in Wiltshire. After this he joined Barclays Bank where he met his wife Shirley, they married in March 1957. Alan and Shirley had six children and nine grandchildren. Following his retirement, Alan helped out at his son?s Sub Post Office. Alan had a great involvement with Scouting, where he was a Cub Leader, firstly in Cheshunt, Herts. Then when the family moved to West Sussex in 1970 he was soon part of 1st Yapton & Ford Scout Group. He enjoyed his family life and his garden. He was an active member of the Arundel Masonic Lodge. He was an ardent supporter of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, so much so that Reynolds even managed to find their ‘theme song’ to play at his funeral which brought a smile to the mourners.
