Mrs Betty Nice

Mrs Betty Nice

27.02.1928 - 16.01.2021

Betty slipped away peacefully on the evening of January 16th. Her kindness, beauty and amazing smile brought joy to all who were lucky enough to know her. She had a cheeky glint in her eyes that would stay throughout her 92 years, even on the most difficult of days.

She lived a long and happy life married to her beloved Cyril. She was adored by her sister May, brother Tom, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dear Aunty Betty,
Such fond and now sadly distant memories. I do remember our last conversation though, you were so chatty and so kind.

God rest her dear soul. Both my Auntie Betty and my Uncle Cyril were like second parents to me as I was growing up. They were both so kind and generous. I was always inundated with wonderful gifts at Christmas time and on my birthdays. Their Easter eggs were always the most spectacular too. It speaks volumes for the both of them that as a young man I always found it a pleasure to visit them and spend time in their wonderful company. It was never a chore. Right now I am picturing my Robbie the Robot walking and talking toy that they gave me when I was around 8 years of age. I so wish I still had it. I will always miss them both and cherish each and every wonderful memory of all the amazing times I was fortunate enough to share with them. God bless !!!

You will always be so special to us dear (Great and Great-Great) Auntie Betty. Thank you for the joy, kindness and memories. This photo is from
Christmas a few years ago when we played “Heads Up” and of course you were The Queen. Your wonderful laughter on that day will always be with us.

Although no longer with us, Betty (Ward) Nice will be remembered with great affection, by all who knew her. She lived life with a smile and always put others first. Her kindness and relentless ability to love, set her apart from many. This diverse montage shows how a shy girl of fourteen, blossomed into a stunning young woman - who became a beautiful old lady, still with that same smile. She and her beloved Cyril were inseparable til the day he died. Together they shared many good times, often with their siblings on holidays and at parties, where they laughed - and made others smile. Thank you Auntie Betty x
