It's with deep regret and sadness that I have to inform you that I cannot make the funeral of a beloved lady my aunt. My aunt was a constant shinning figure who was vivacious kind caring and family orientated, always ready to help. She came to see me on a number of occasions when I was a personal shopper in Croydon. She would relate many funny stories to my colleagues. When she walked in I was proud that she was my aunt and I loved her very much . You boys and family must miss her, and I truely feel for you . Please be assured she touched many peoples lives . I'm just sad not to be with you all. With love to you all Lesley and Mick xxx.

Auntie Merle was so very lovely and kind. I remember when my son, Trevor (who was about 10 at the time) and I came for a visit and stayed with her. Auntie Merle took us to visit Arundel Castle. My son wanted to climb up the steep stairs to the top of the tower, which I did not want to do. So Auntie Merle in her little heels and skirt climbed to the top with him. She did not want him to miss out!

Although we didn't get to spend much time together, she was always so kind and welcoming. We will miss you.

Love,
Your niece, Lori

I could not have wished for a more lovely Mother-in Law. Merle was a beautiful and kind person inside and out.
She always made me welcome and part of the family.
She was always delighted to lend a hand with Pip, Fliss and Ed, and was a great support to them and was always there to cheer them on at music concerts, school plays and recitals.
She was a stylishly elegant lady who always looked her best.
I will miss her very much but will remember all the good times we had together.
Rest in peace Mum xxxxxxxxxx
