A one in a million lady. Your gentle nature was loved by all who knew you. We never got to say goodbye, but forever will treasured memories remain in my heart & thoughts. Time stands still for no mortal, you grew weary & slept that eternal sleep. You were a very loved Aunty for myself & Great Aunty for my children . May you rest in peace now, weary no more. Til time reunites us all again...… Jacqueline Cook, South Aussie <3

We met when Pauline and I were at college in 1978-80 and, although we lost touch a bit after, you were the reason we are still friends today and you helped map out the rest of my life with Pete. I feel honoured to have known you and to have been called your 'foster child'. You had amazing qualities which live on in your loving, caring daughters. Thank you for all the wonderful memories, the punk rocker, the tap dancing and the laughter we have shared. I will never forget you. God bless and look after my 'foster mummy', the very special Nola xx

When I was 11 we could have met, those that know what happened there well we will say no more. 40 years later I asked for your daughters hand in marriage and you welcomed me into your family, who have all shown me nothing but love. The few years we had have been a joy. Love you Mum X

Dear Nola
I first met you on boxing day 1983. I came down for the day and stayed for a few. And have been around ever since. You, Cyn and Pauline become a second family to me. I also met Geoff, Wilf, Eva Jack and Esme. I have lots of happy memories with you all. You were a kind and lovely person. You made friends with everyone you met. I am sure that will continue for the rest of your journey. You will be missed. God best, rest in peace.

From us all having our 'wedding' hair done at the hairdresser's across the road; to you introducing me to the virtues of the Yorkshire tradition of Christmas cake and Wensleydale (I always think of you when I partake); your sage and wise words when I needed them most; your kindness, generosity and warmth - always. I know I was blessed to have you in my life. With all my love xxx

Your Mum/Granny has been in my life for nearly as long as I can remember! She will be sadly missed - sending love to you all - thinking about Pauline, Lynne and Jenny hiding round the back of St Wilfrids from her and my Mum on various occasions!

We may have only known you all for 7 years but we have always thought of you as family. One of my favourite memories of your Gran is when you introduced me by my nickname Fafa and she called me ForFa, it was so endearing that it stuck. I shall remember her sitting in her chair doing crochet . A great lady that gave her qualities in each of you that we see everday. Greatly missed but celebrating her life not mourning her death.
