Mr Paul Ian Johnson

Mr Paul Ian Johnson

01.01.1949 - 10.06.2022

Beloved husband of Pat, Father of Brian and Mark and Grandfather of Harrison. Passed away peacefully at home from an illness bravely borne. Paul lived a life filled with love for his family and has left us with many happy memories. He will be sadly missed by us all. You left us far too early my darling, but we pray you may rest in peace now until we can be together again.

Hilary and I have great lasting memories of Paul. I knew him in the late 60's when his family moved to Woodmansterne. Paul became 'one of the gang' spending time watching stock cars, visiting the nearby Woodman pub and generally having a laugh with mates. This friendship continued when Paul married Pat and I married Hilary. Through time circumstances change and we sent one another cards, always promising that 'this year' perhaps we might arrange a get-together.
So sorry we couldn't make the funeral due to having Covid.
It was a privilege knowing Paul.
