Hi Dad, I remember travelling up to nannies in the car, and I used to sit in the back behind you and pretend to drive by copying your movements and the time I went with you looking for a new car, that was how I got interested in cars.
Also the time we went out in Pam’s little Fiat 500 after you finished sorting it out for her, it was so funny the two of use squeezed into it and driving up Turners Hill I thought I was going to have to get out and push, but no it made it thanks to you good work and we had a good laugh about it.
Take care where ever you are and don’t worry about mum we are all looking after her.

I will forever treasure the times I spent with you listening to your engineering work, designing machinery, and the use of programmable logic controllers. For you, steam and trains were your true passion and I fondly remember visiting you in the railway workshop at Amberly and you showing me your bench and what you did there. Pete, you were an amazing and inspiring engineer, from refurbishing Pam's car and our little wooden boat to making automated machinery to maintaining trains of all sorts.
May your train journey continue forever along the tracks.
