I will always have fond memories of being with Bob, sitting in The Kings Head chatting away for ages. He was a lovely man.

An extremely kind man who always had a smile on his face. He was clearly so proud of you Rosie and loved you all so very much.

Uncle Rob (aka Balders) I have so many amazing memories of the fun I had staying with you and Doz, many of which certainly led to my wicked sense of humour and 40 plus year passion for drumming, all will stay with me forever. One of my favourites was the time you came off shift and pulled a matchbox out of your pocket, “I found a finger a work today do you want to see it?” you slid open the matchbox and inside was cotton wool and a finger…. The finger started to move, you had cut a hole in the bottom of the matchbox, faked it with your own finger. Only the best uncle in the world would come up with such hilarity. I used to love watching you gig following you around pubs sneaking a beer, concentrating on every drum stoke, fill, accent, paradidle, hoping one day to be a good as you. You formed my musical diversity watching you play Rikki dont lose that number (Steely Dan) Moneys too
Tight to mention (Simply Red) a few songs that every time I hear them I can actually picture you playing. I wish I could turn back time to watch you play again. One day we will Rock the Pearly Gates!! Miss you Balders. All my love Paul.

Dear Robert, we've shared so many fond memories right back to childhood, and later your band played at our wedding reception back in 1968! You'll be missed by all the family.

We all think we do important our jobs, but Rob’s work really was important, he saved lives and that made him a hero in the true sense of the word. A huge loss who will be much missed by his family and friends. RIP Rob.
