So many good memories, I have been blessed to have such an amazing dad. Life full of music and laughter. Always been spoilt and never said ‘no’ to me even when should have. Who will I make lemon meringue pie for now. Will miss you so much. Love you xx

Bob,
I remember first meeting you at Ham Manor, a loud, smiling, horse racing enthusiast, on his day not a bad golfer too. Behind the bar on many an occasion on the phone getting tips for the races. I regret we never managed to play a game together but was honoured you asked me to help Matt with his golf and luckily got to meet Jo and Rebecca also.
In the time I spent at Ham as assistant I was so priveledged to have made many friends, you are one I will very much miss.

Dear Jo, I only met your Dad a couple of times, in 1986/87. He had a great sense of humour and I remember at dinner once in Yapton he teased me and said I looked like 'a young Fred Astaire!' It's such a long time ago now but I remember him well! My dear Dad, Colin, passed away suddenly 16 months ago. He too was only 74. It is so hard losing your father, but as the weeks and months pass the pain very slowly recedes and you and Gary and your mum will remember all your wonderful times together. Chris.

So shocked to hear of Bob's passing, I met Bob at the auctions, he always had time for a chat about something, usually about his collection, golf, holidays or his family. What a friendly guy he was. I will miss him very much. And having read the wonderful memorials here I can see that I am not the only one.

Dearest Jo, Carole and Gary,

We have such fond and loving memories of your Dad (husband). He always made us feel welcome at the family gatherings through the years, ripped the mick out of me and always made us laugh. He had that twinkle in his eyes and knew how to have fun. My overriding memory was taking the mick out of my stupendous wrapping skills of your present Jo. That story was always brought up every time I saw your Dad, I was never allowed to forget that!!!

Keep all those wonderful memories you had with him alive whether in your mind, or writing them down so you can remember and reflect on his life in the downtimes and the years to come.

God Bless you Rob, you lived a good live.... Now go and follow the GG's elsewhere in the Universe.

Love Jo, Darren, Hannah and Gemma xxxx

Rob was also kind and making jokes whenever I saw him. Every time he’d shake my hand and squeeze as hard as he could, until I got older and could do it back. Was always the little things that made me smile. Rest easy x

RIP Rob
Remembering my brother-in-law Robert, who always had us laughing when the family got together, a twinkle in his eye. Shared our love of the horse racing and often had a tip for us. Even put a bet on for John when he was in the hospital.
Sending my sincere condolences and sympathy on your loss to Carole, Jo and Gary.

RIP Uncle Rob.
I am lucky to have many happy and treasured memories over the years of times spent with Uncle Rob, starting as a little girl staying with you and Auntie Caz on the farm you lived at; through family gatherings at Nan’s house in Westbourne; endless hours playing cards; weekends at the caravan at Selsey; a day trip to France on the Ferry and “button mushrooms”; BBQ’s and fantastic food at your house; fun at both Jo and Gary’s weddings; having you attend my own wedding many years later; and my most favourite times spent over the Christmas holidays playing board games, arguing over Trivial Pursuit answers and laughing till our stomachs hurt, tears running down my face (and wee down my leg!!) playing Scattergories and Balderdash.
We will miss your vibrant personality, charm, humour and endless teasing. God bless, sleep tight.

Heartfelt condolences to Auntie Carole and my cousins Jo and Gary.

Love Julie (aka JulieTwoDress or the niece who could drive in Theory!) and Darren xx

We will always remember Robbie playing with Paul on our Rolling Stones Pinball machine which he loved and had great fun on.We will treasure the metal Red Rooster we have on the cabin wall he gave us. We will also treasure the wooden ducks he gave us (reluctantly) and many other strange gifts from charity shops he bought for us for the garden.
He was a lot of fun and good friend and we will really miss him.Gill & Paull Dunn xxxxxx

Such a great Uncle always making us laugh when we came over to your house at Xmas and in the summer for a BBQ. We never know what you were going to do next but we knew it would be fun.

Grandad,

I always remember when you first took me to golf and trying to hit the 50 yard marker then going for cheesy chips after and singing "straight down the middle" in car on the way home, then when I got old enough we would sneak down the pub for a couple of drinks.

You have been like a Dad to me and have always been there!
I am missing you so much, love you x

My Grandad was incredibly special and one of a kind. He loved his life and everyone in it, always enjoying himself and living it to the full.

I have my Grandad to thank for so many lovely memories filled with laughter. He was always so much fun to be around and could be counted on to bring the party spirit.

Growing up I would always look forward to visiting him and Nanny, to listening to the stories of magical worlds he’d invent for myself and Abbey, and to stopping the car to dance in the street when his favourite song came on.

Grandad was a very much loved member of the family who will be greatly missed and never ever forgotten.

21.04.2020

Grandad,
I don't think I'll ever meet anyone else quite like you. Always full of smiles and laughter, I don't think I've ever seen you not smile. Even when you'd embarrass me by shouting my name or bye babe when you dropped me to school you'd always have me laughing. My favourite memory will always be when we danced in the mulch pit at Goodwood and had to ring nanny to tell her. I'll miss you so much x

Gary

We will miss you so much Bob, so much laughter and so full of fun you were a dear friend to us both. We had some lovely trips away with Carole and Bob, Liverpool (The Cavern, and Ferry across the Mersey) Leeds Castle, London, Winter Wonderland and lots of musicals! The last one at Portsmouth when we went on the train with Sue and Keith. Also so many nights playing cards! We will never forget you, A lovely man. Goodnight and God bless you.

I first met Bob (and the Belek Boys) in 2005.

That was the start of an amazing part of my life that has sadly been brought to a premature end. It won’t be the same without you, Bob. But the memories will be with me for the rest of my days. Thank you, Bob, for those.

Dear Matey,
I am feeling bad about telling you a decade ago you wouldn't make old bones. I think you knew that too but I reckon you packed at least a 100 years into your 74. You have been a great friend to us both, generous, humorous, outrageous, infuriating, kind, a pain in the butt.

You will be greatly missed and for many years hence, at family and friends gatherings, many a tale will be shared about you, and laughter and warmth will fill the room.

Farewell Rob. An awesome mate who will always be remembered and sorely missed.
Love

Grandad taught me a lot about life, mainly to live life to the fullest & to enjoy every moment. He has been taken from us early, but the memories I have with him will last forever. He had a truly kind heart & would do anything to help me whenever I needed him. I will miss him everyday but it reminds me to appreciate everyday. I love you grandad x

Thank you for being you, for welcoming me into the family.

I will miss your sense humor the most. The first time we met you was dropping your grandson off at University and you was shouting down the hall announcing your arrival and had us all laughing . 7 Years later and I will be Marrying your Grandson in 2 years time. We have had several Christmas days together, Easter Lunches, Birthday Celebrations (Jo's 50th is one to remember) and had plans for you to come and see our new house next month.

We miss you and we love you!

Rob you were taken too soon. I will miss your laughter. I have so many memories of the fun and games we had with the children down at the caravans and on holidays. I always referred to you as my father in law. Not just because it was easier, but because it was what I considered to be true. And what I wanted.
You were always very good to me. We had our disagreements but you never held a grudge & accepted me for what I am. It’s never easy accepting someone into the family. You did without any reservations at all. You also accepted Toby into your life too. I will always be forever grateful to you & wish I told you.
You were always the life & soul of any get together. You always lived for today & maybe we should do likewise. I will miss playing cards, miss drinking Peroni, miss football banter. Most of all I’ll miss you.

RIP Rob
