Dear Bob, what a lovely friend you were! So many happy times spent with you and Helen. We met at the bowls club and had so many memories from those times.
We spent 3 weeks with you exploring Western Canada and then a cruise to Alaska, you always said it was your favourite holiday!
We shall miss you such a lot, you were Allan’s best mate, and we were both so fond of you.

We can’t tell you how heartbroken we were on the news of Bobs passing.
Bob has been a part of our lives for such a long time and his loss will be deeply felt.
He was such a lovely man, a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather.
He was one of life’s rarities; a genuinely nice man! We are lucky to have had him in our lives and proud to call him a friend.
We will miss him sorely but will remember all the happy times we shared.

But my darling, I realise now that this will never be. You were my soul mate, my best friend - my everything. Being with you taught me all that love can be. La perte d'un mari, d'un père, d'un grand-père, d'un arrière grand-père est et sera toujours un moment de tristesse. Les bons moments de la vie reviendront vite à la surface quant on parlera de Bob. Le chagrin, les larmes vont progressivement s'éteindre pour voir des sourires revenir sur les visages. Nous sommes de tout cœur avec vous en cette période difficile.... En français, "Après la pluie vient le beau temps" parle aussi du passage d'une période de deuil à une période de souvenirs joyeux. Nous aurons toujours une pensée vers Bob quand on se rememorera de bons souvenirs. Toutes nos amitiés à toute la famille.

My wonderful Grandad Pops, my forever best friend and hero. Life will never be the same now that you’re gone. I will miss your words of wisdom, your jokes, you always telling me ‘if you need any help with your uni assessments then let me know and I’ll do it for you’ and you’re massive, loving hugs.
