Sheila Mary Polhill

11.11.1935 - 16.01.2023

Sheila left a little bit of sparkle wherever she went, died peacefully on January 16th 2023, aged 87 years. The most wonderful Mum to Lorraine and Rachel, loving wife of the late Ron, the best Mum-in-law to Andrew, gorgeous Grandma to Rebecca and Sam, Matt and Paige, Robbie and Lily, and adored Great Grandma to Archie, Alfie, Millie, Arlo and Ronnie.
Mum had a wonderful 22 years living with us, before moving into Donnington Care Home for the last few months of her life. Our family are so grateful to them all, for the care, love and support they gave her and all of us.
We hold onto our memories of her infectious laugh, positive energy and ability to light up a room with her fabulous smile !

My beautiful Auntie Sheila~ what an amazing energy you had, never before have I met a most positive fun loving person with a passion for life like yours. I truely believe my life would have been a little bit brighter had I have grown up closer to you but always in my heart! No truer words relate to you like the words in “I love your shoes” by Donna Ashworth.
Keep laughing loudly & give my daddy the biggest hug from me
Your loving niece Louise

Sheila was such an incredibly special lady, loved by so many. Her sense of humour and amazing laugh created joy for everyone!
Ellen and I had fabulous times when we were little dressing up in skirts she made for us and I was so lucky that Sheila made beautiful bridesmaid dresses for my wedding.
I will always remember her with so much love; your beautiful mum and G certainly left a little bit of sparkle in our lives forever. XxX

She made beautiful things for Jennifer and I over the years from gorgeous dressing up clothes to bridesmaid dresses. She had such an incredible talent. She's missed very much already. Sheila was such a special lady who meant so much to us all. She was practical, positive and would listen to anything we had to say and gave such great advice. Her needlework skills were extraordinary and I remember needles, pins and material surrounding her when she was at work at Lenora Drive. Most of all we'll remember her laughter, radiating happiness to all who were near her. How we'll all miss your adorable mum.
