My lovely Shirley,
It has been such a pleasure to have known you xx
I miss you, our time and giggles Together so very much, your laugh bought me so much joy, watching you and Arthur together made my days, sneaking you bits of bread to feed the seagulls when Arthur wasn't looking was a personal favourite hobby we shared!
If ever I was to have a low Day I knew as soon as I walked in to your loving home I would be immediately lifted and always leave with The biggest smile and the warmest heart!
There aren’t enough wonderful things I can say about how happy I am to have met you and been a little part of your life and I will always treasure the memories I have of our weekly outings, the stories we shared the laughs we had and the cakes we ate!
Thank you for the many smiles and happy days you gave me,
rest in perfect peace my lovely lady xxxx

Dear Grandma,

I am forever grateful to have had you as a constant loving figure throughout my childhood and all the way up to the beginning of this year. You were always there for the special moments in my life - birthdays, Christmases, my graduation and many, many more. Woven in between these momentous occasions are all the happy times we spent together, especially in Aldwick Bay with you and Grandad. I have fond memories of your enthusiasm for baking and swear by your scones recipe! I know my love of tea and cake is thanks to you.

Above all, I was always struck by your natural ability to command the room with your marvellous sense of humour and confident aura. I know your close relationship with Mum meant so much to her. Me and my sisters have been led by your example and we have learnt that this mother and daughter bond should be cherished forever.

May you wander peacefully amongst the daffodils now, Grandma.

Love Isobelle x

Dear Arthur & family

I have many fond memories of Shirley who I met through her work as a trustee of Bognor Housing Trust but she became a friend to me. She was so supportive and kind and when I had my little girl, Amalie, she and Arthur welcomed us round to visit regularly. Amalie and I loved to visit, Shirley always spoiling her with treats and bringing out toys for her to play with. Shirley was such a lovely, kind, thoughtful lady and she will be greatly missed.

Dear Arthur, Robert, Clare, Stuart and family.
We are all so sorry for you loss, it was a privilege to know and care for Shirley for the past 2 years. Shirley had the ability to light up a room with her infectious smile and laugh. I will always carry fond memories of when I used to visit and Shirley would be watching the foxes or the cats in the garden and I think secretly hoping one of the cats would come in. Shirley will be greatly missed and will always be remembered by us all, we are so grateful that we got to know such a beautiful lady inside and out.
Rest well Shirley we will continue to take care of Arthur for you xx

Sid and I have so many fond memories of Shirley since her and Arthur's daughter Clare met our son Stuart.
At all the significant family gatherings for the milestones of their lives and those of their three beautiful daughters Shirley's joy and pride was clear to see by the huge smile on her face.
It has been a delight to know Shirley one of life's truly lovely people.

Dear lovely, beautiful, Grandma

We are so sad you have gone but are comforted by the fact you lived a wonderful and long life filled with the many happy memories we shared with you.

I’ll remember your infectious laugh that filled the room. Your cooking and the tasty treats you would make. Postcards and gifts from holidays. The Easters and Christmases. And your warm and kind care which I’m eternally grateful for.

Even though you have gone I know you are here watching over us. More than anything I know you would have wanted to see me get married. I have a feeling you will be there watching in spirit. I’m so happy you and Amandeep got the opportunity to meet.

Rest in peace with the angels now Grandma. Mum, Dad, Grandad and all the family we think of you everyday. We will all meet again one day and have a jolly time!

Lots of love,
Charlotte, Amandeep and Billie the cat

Dear Mum, we will miss you so much.

You fought your battle with vascular dementia with courage, strength and humour and were an inspiration. My life is filled with such happy memories of you as my mum and the girls grandma. Nursing you for the two weeks before you passed away was a privilege and a very special time that I will cherish. I am so glad we were able to have the time together that we did and that the girls had the opportunity to visit and say their goodbyes, you squeezed their hands very tightly. Love you now and always Clare, Stuart, Charlotte, Isobelle and Lucy x
