Stuart popped into my dreams last night . So I googled his name and sadly, found this. I have thought about him over the years. He was my roommate at Western University in 1980 in Saugeen Maitland. He was a big personality with a generous and joyful spirit. I’m sorry I did not keep in touch with him over the years. And I’m very sorry he died too young. My condolences go out to his family . I remember his sisters Sharon and Sarah I believe ……I will raise you up in thoughts and prayers in the coming days.
Thinking of Stuart and his family this morning.

We shared lots of great times when we lived next door to each other in Middleton-on-Sea. We have such fond memories of the many weekend BBQ's, volley balling over the garden fence(!), the kids having loads of sleep-overs and us watching their dance performances in our sitting rooms ( loud music ) our love of listening to loud rock music, pet rats and pet rabbits, and we enjoyed your company, your wonderful hospitality and good sense of humour many times with a glass of wine / beer over supper.
You were a great neighbour and friend - we miss those fun times Stuart and we will never forget them or you. We send you our love XX

Tracy, Zak and Bethany - our hearts go out to you! Stu loved Camp Huronda and Huronda loved Stu. Always had so much fun with Stu and friends at Camp, in Toronto and later in Kitchener (Ontario). His smile was infectious. He was a dear friend.

I knew Stu from Camp Huronda - where he was the most fun-loving, irreverent, caring, crazy guy you could ever hope to meet. He always put 110% into every activity at camp, and his campers totally adored him. I'm not sure I should say "Rest in Peace", as I think that wherever he is, he will be actively stirring up trouble, laughter and fun.
Thanks for all the great memories Stu. You are loved - and you will be missed!

Stu was one of those ‘larger than life’ kind of guys…funny and loud but kind and loving too. He was my camper at Camp Illahee and then at Camp Huronda and always kept things interesting and fun! The world has lost a good one. So sorry for your loss, Tracy, Bethany and Zac. He sure was loved.

Stu, every time I saw you, you had a naughty little twinkle in your eye. You were always full of fun, laughter and happiness. You will be so sadly missed by all who knew you. Keep smiling and remember to make all of the other angels around you smile, giggle and get up to mischief.
Heaven has gained another bright shining star
Lots of love always Jo, Norman, James, Katherine and a big heavenly kiss from Nick ( your new partner in crime). Xx

So sorry to the family for your loss. I knew Stu from Camp Huronda Diabetic Camp in Huntsville, Ontario. Lost contact with him in the early 80s. Just connected to the camp Facebook site yesterday and was advised of his passing. My condolences to his family and friends. He was my favourite camper and wish I had not lost touch with him.

I will always remember, and miss my buddy Stu, as we had many great times over the years, starting when we met in grade 3 (see attached photo from the halls of Pineway Public School).
When Stu moved to England, I was living there myself, and was very happy to be in the same country again with my pal. Eventually I moved back to Canada and Stu stayed put, as he had found his lifelong love, Tracy. I fondly remember my visits back to the UK on many occasions, including his wedding, which was a great time.
Shortly after, Stu told me Tracy was expecting their first child, and Stu and Tracy asked me to be Zak’s godfather, which was an unbelievable honour to me. Over the years, I fondly remember my trips to the UK, and especially the years when Zak and Beth were kids and we would stroll around Arundel, often visiting our favourite Chinese restaurant. In the last decade or so, my trips to the UK declined, so many of our catch-ups were by phone, which I will always cherish.
My last in person visit with Stu, was for a pub lunch in 2017, with Stu, Tracy, Zak, and Beth…another great memory.
My thoughts and prayers are with Tracy, Zak, Beth, Sharon, Sarah, Barb and Bob (RIP), along with everyone else who was touched by Stu over his life time.
