Trev you were an absolute gent in every respect. I saw you on many occasions and you were always very chipper, seldom down and out and out nice guy. I always enjoyed making you laugh with my impressions of a certain Aldo Macari who we both knew. Even when you were ill you refused to be down beat. You will be sorely missed by all. See you on the other side. RIP Trev.

Trevor Field was one of the nicest, most genuine people you could ever meet. South Bersted Church was packed for his funeral, which showed how popular he was. Many years ago I played in the same football team as Trevor, namely Bilsham. Trevor was a real team man who never sought glory for himself. In the summer Trev and lovely Lin joined us in Den's Mob, a team that played in stoolball tournaments most weekends. We weren't great but we had a load of fun. One of my happiest memories was a tournament at Rogate (I think) where Trevor was fielding on the boundary. The batsmen belted the ball towards Trevor who kept his eye on the ball in textbook fashion. He dived through the air and disappeared over the hedge near the boundary. He re-appeared seconds later with the ball triumphantly grasped in his right hand. A priceless memory. I knew Trevor had been battling illness for the last couple of years, and the last time I spoke to him, he was very optimistic about the future. A truly lovely man. It was typical that Lin came down the Lane to thank everyone. A more decent couple you would be very hard pressed to find. RIP Trevor.

Gentleman Trev with the shy smile. This is how I will always remember 'Trevor'. I have very fond memories of Trev going back to when I first joined the Sexton family. He and Lynn (his then girlfriend). Trev adored Lynn, his adoration of her shone through. You were a good and decent man Trev and are sorel missed. It was a pleasure to have known you. ❤

Trev worked with us at HAWCO for several years. Although he left in December 2015 we have many fond memories of his time with us. We only just found out he passed away and everyone that knew him would like to send their condolences to the family. All the comments I have had from those that worked with him say he was a true gentleman and a gentle man. He was particularly good at helping new members of the team settle in and feel welcome. Whether at work or on the golf course Trev was always calm, considerate and puting others before himself.
