Dear Val
Thank you for your friendship and kindness over the 30 years I have known you, as a colleague and friend.
You brought fun and laughter, with your radiant smile and positive attitude and enhanced the lives of many students, by encouraging them to achieve above and beyond their expectations. I enjoyed our meetings with friends and ex-students, where we all ate and laughed so much.
So very sad you have been taken so soon. You will be missed by many.
Love Tricia xx

Valerie you will be so much missed...............always up for a trip out, a visit, a glass of vino and a chat!
You will be remembered as being so very kind, generous and welcoming. Roasts, swims, BBQ's and boat trips, not to mention shopping trips and holidays you shared them all with us.

Dear Val,
I will miss our lovely chatty lunches and our rather questionable bridge so much. You were such a great friend; we shared many interests and books, lots of laughter and our diet progress…. or not! You were such a kind, generous person, your passing will be a great loss to so many.
Lots of love Helen x

I really miss you, friend.
Your wise words, your class, kindness, humour, and thoughtfulness. There was just so much you gave to others that can never be replaced. Part of your charm and nature was to make others always feel so appreciated, loved and respected, and that's a rare gift, but you are a rare soul.
Such a good-hearted and truly gracious and warm human being - your loss is deeply felt. I will think of you often - much love xx00
My heartfelt and sincere condolences to your family and other friends.

Dear Valerie, I'm so sorry not to have seen you recently; it is real shock to hear of your passing. You were the kindest, hospitable, generous person, especially with the lifetime hardships you had before I knew you.. You are a real loss, and I can't think of you without that sweet smile! If there is a hereafter, you will be a very welcome addition to it!

Dear Val,
I’ve only known you for a few years but what fun and laughter we shared … our love for our families, our love of good food ( we never got to The Ivy together as planned) the laughs when you had to play a “no trumps “hand at bridge and your love of life. I shall miss you and your sense of humour and fun! R.I.P. dear friend. Love from Lesley
